From 1976, when his career began at the Screen on the Green cinema in London, Stephen Woolley has lived and breathed cinema. After owning his own cinema, The Scala, his producing career flourished, with a diverse range of critically-acclaimed and successful films including 'Absolute Beginners' with David Bowie, and 'Scandal'. In 1992 Stephen Woolley was awarded Producer of The Year by the Producer's Guild of America for the Oscar-winning 'The Crying Game'. More recently, he has executive-produced 'Fever Pitch', 'Purely Belter' and 'Little Voice', starring Sir Michael Caine and Jane Horrocks.
