Your film should not be an advert or film about Orange or BAFTA, and you should not show or mention brand names - even in the background.
You can create your film in any format, but it must be submitted as defined in the 'Upload' section of the website. Please ensure that you keep your original material or a good quality copy as we may need it at a later date. Please shoot your film in 'widescreen' (16:9) wherever possible. If this is not possible, then 'letterbox' 4:3 or standard 4:3 is acceptable.
Before you enter, please check that all contributions to your film or recordings, and any copyright material included in them, have been cleared for all purposes. You need to ensure that you have permission from the actors, permission from the location owners and permission from the person who has written songs or music in order to include them in your film. Please click here to see our section on music for further details. If you don't clear the rights to your film, it won’t be eligible for entry.
During registration you’ll be asked to fill in a music clearance form. This must be completed before entry.
You must enter the film in the region where you are resident at the time of submission. There is a postcode finder in the entry form which will tell you which region you are in. If you supply incorrect information we reserve the right to disqualify your film. You may be required to provide evidence of your address upon request.
BAFTA acting in consultation with its partners in the initiative reserve the right to extend the deadline for entry.
