We're sensitive to concerns about the impact of our buildings and our network on rural and urban environments, so we have land-use management plans in place to address this.
The design, position and quantity of our transmitters are influenced by the local landscape, the number of people living in an area and the demand for the service. We aim to provide the greatest level of network coverage for customers with the least possible impact on the environment.
We actively engage with local communities and regulatory authorities as part of a formal planning process and we share sites wherever possible. In special circumstances, environmental designs for transmitters are installed.
