2004 – Orange UK launches 'You, your phone, and staying safe' – an educational package on phone theft for schools.

2004 – France Telecom Group assumes 100% ownership of Orange.

2003 – France Telecom Group launches its global corporate responsibility strategy, integrating Orange corporate responsibility activities into its framework.

2003-2005 – Orange UK employees raise £150,000 for official charity partners the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and the British Deaf Association (BDA). The Orange Community Futures Awards award 58 grants totalling over £257,500 to local community groups working with deaf and blind people.

2002 – The first Orange UK Social and Environmental Report is published, with formal targets for improvement on the company's social and environmental impacts.

2002 – Orange UK launches global corporate responsibility strategy.

2001-2002 – Orange UK employees select NCH – Action for Children as our charity partner and raise £400,000 in support of its work.

2001 – Orange UK adopts environment policy.

2001 – Orange UK signs up to the Ten Commitments, the industry best-practice guidelines, in response to the recommendations of the Independent Expert Group on Mobile Phones (the Stewart Report).
