We´ve been working side-by-side with UNICEF since 2004. In the UK, we´re their official emergency relief partner: giving our money and technology to help with emergency appeals. Through fundraising and text donations, we´ve helped raise more than £1.5 million since 2004.

Haiti 2010 earthquake

We made it easier for our customers to give to the UNICEF Haiti appeal. We invited people to donate through texts and emails, and made it free for them to do so by text. In total they gave an amazing £650,000.

Our customers were also able to call and text Haiti for free until the end of February 2010, and we donated 1,500 phones to Caribbean operator Digicel to give out to those on the ground.

We also encouraged our employees to give an hour or so of their pay to the cause – an inspirational 2,000 hours were given in total.
